have had oral and genital ulcers ever since I was 6 months old I have been to numerous doctors mostly rheumatologist . Last year I was diagnosed with bechets a rare automimmune disease which causes recurrent oral and geintal ulcers. I have also had GI scopes done and when you swallow the pill and it takes pictures and I have ulcers in my bowels When I recently went to my gyencologist appointment I did not have any outbreaks but she treated me as if i had herpes. I am worried that perhaps I do. Can you have HSV-1 and HSV-2 and I have ulcers all the time it is not only on rare occasions or every now and then

My family doctor did test me HSV-2 once he said it showed some signs of antibodies but it was not conclusive and he did not think I had herpes. No one else in my family has ever had any ulcers or showed any signs and symptoms of ulcers. I am thinking about going to get retested I am just wondering if my recurrent ulcers in both genital and oral would be herpes. I do not think herpes cause ulcers in your bowels though, plus my family does not have it either and i got it so young I am just confused

Please let me know your thoughts

thanks
