Hi all,
I was struck with a golf ball that resulted in postconcussion syndrome and FMS. Constant headaches and pain.
I was just wondering if any of you out there have recovered fully (if that's possible) or how long you all have struggled with this. Have your symptoms gotten better or progressively worse?
Thanks for your input...

FMS surfaced for me after a severe blow to the top of my head, followed 2 yrs later by being at the bottom, on my side, of a crushing 'dogpile'. That was 5 & 7 years ago, respectively.
I stopped working aprox. 6 mo. after the last injury, and progressively got worse for 2 years. Then I seemed to plateu, and have been at this very low level (meaning HIGH symptoms) since.
Some therapies seem to temporarily heal me, then FMS comes back with a vengence, slamming me back down to the bottom, again. Switch therapies, feel better, don't feel better, feel worse, switch, etc. Helps to have a large repetoire(how do ya spell that? http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/confused.gif ) of therapies.
So, cure? Haven't heard of one, yet. But, you CAN help yourself achieve remissions (even tho you might not hit your pre-FMS 100%). Learn, educate yourself, and try any, and every safe therapy until you find what works best for you.
Sometimes I still get to http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif , so all hope is not lost! good luck
