I am extremely scared.

I gave my boyfriend unprotected oral sex and he ejaculated in my mouth and I swallowed on Monday morning. Right now (Tuesday night) my tonsils is inflamed very badly. My throat is very painful, but I don't have any other problem. I don't think my mouth has sore or anything but I am not sure... I have been with my boyfriend for 10 years and I believe we are faithful to each other. However he seems to have some swollen gland problem lately...

Could this be ARS??? I heard ARS should only happen after a week or 2 after exposure... I am suddenly very afraid....

Anyways I called my country's national health line. The doctor (I am not sure if he is really a doctor, since the info only say "qualified health professional") who answered my call told me no STD would cause a similar problem in just 2 days, especially if my boyfriend did not cheat on me. It is very likely I just get infected by some other things. He told me if the antibiotic sovled my problem, I can wait for my next regular check up unless I am extremely concerned.

Is he correct? I thought HIV can be transmitted by oral (lower chance, but still a chance). I think I will ask my boyfriend to check himself first.

he is most likely correct,not many cases of hiv from oral sex have been reported,it is considered a much lower risk then other ways.
if you have concerns go get tested and you will know for sure.
