I just wanted to pass this information along to those who may not know about it. This really works in preventing a terrible headache that can last for several days after a spinal tap.

After the procedure is done lay flat on your back for a minimum of 6 hours. DO NOT even lift your head a new inches or put a pillow under it. After the 6 hours pass you can do what you want.

I've had 6 spinal taps done and not once did I have a headache. Even the doctors and nurses were surprised.

wasn't this already pretty much standard procedure post ST?i know anything that i have had done with my spinal cord and brain,i had to lie flat for a very very long time.marcia
