I have had pain in my right side for a long time and finally after having Ct Scans , abdominal ultrasounds , xrays , etc the Og/Gyn found a 3.5 cm cysts on my right ovary. She said we will wait and I have to go back in 6 weeks and see its progress. Problem is this week I started to notice a large swollen lymph node behind me right ear under my neck and jaw. I dont have any fever but some nauseousness and slight headache. Please any info to help me I would greatly appreciate.

I had issues back in March with my parotid gland & lymph node swelling and was recently diagnosed with a 4cm cyst on my left ovary (abdominal pain started around the same time). From Nov 2006 to March 2007, I was having allergic reactions to toxic chemicals at work and feel the ovarian cyst is a residual affect of this since the pituitary gland regulates and controls the ovarys. My ob/gyn said it's a possibility these reactions are connected but would be hard to prove.
I feel even though the glands are located in various areas of the body and have different functions, it's important for any doctor I see to treat me as a whole, complete & connected person, and not focus on only one part or issue. After meeting with many different doctors, I actually found an amazing office of doctors specializing in acupuncture & natural healing and have been seeing improvements in how I'm feeling over the past few months. I hope you're able to find someone or something that works for you.

Regarding the treatment I received for the swollen lymph node, I took a generic form of Keflex for 7 days and felt much better afterwards. My immune system was still lowered but at least the pain & fever was gone.
