Dan,

I have been viewing the board and just sitting back and thinking how can I help my BUDS????

I replied to one the other day as what to expect after back surgery; other than that I always look in the morning and see what the GANG on the beach are up too. IF I feel that I can add then I add if not i am always there - just drop me a note. I saw where pepper just said that out of our little group of surgerys that I am the only one that is doing well; that is to bad - a have pain but nothing like the rest of my pals here that just post the situation as it goes from point to point - I talk to people all day that are struggling and others that are calling in for treatments and the nurses doctors lawyers and the injured as well. IT is all sad in a way It is good that they are being treated - but it is to bad that they are in such pain and finicial trouble for the most part....

All I wish you the best

Roy

Hi Roy - Boy I haven't seen you in a while . Yep looks to be your the only one doing pretty well. I can't sit up here on this chair very long because of the back pain so I just hop in now and then. Pepper is having alot of problems , poor girl . I don't know what to say or do either but to be strong and fight back ? Been holding off my Hydrocodone for 3 days now. I need to stop taking them for a while cause there not helping me anymore.
I think my body has gotten used to taken them and there not strong enough anymore ? I tried to get in to see my PM Dr. but they have been so ignorant with me . Telling me my Dr. schedual is booked and he's on vacation for a week AGAIN ! I just ask them to up my Lyrica and Cymbalta until my appointment on the 21st and they said NO if my pain becomes to bad go to the ER ?? What a joke.

I have an appointment to see a new PM Dr. next month. He promised to help me after I told him how this Dr. has been treating me. Honestly I don't just want narcotics I want to feel less pain..:(

The Beach is overcast and Gloomy bud ! I'm glad to see you Roy . Just talking to you helps. Thanks for being here.

Hi Roy, its great that even though you are doing so well after your surgery, that at least you still reply to others to help them through. That always means alot. And it helps others to know that someone had success. Keep up your helpful posts and you'll always be helping someone in one way or another

Moldova,

The doc said that it was a good pain to have; this is the reasons that he gave me: it meant that the fusion was solid and that all things are in place.

He told me this even before he looked at the CT SCAN. He was correct - he went on to say that the nerve that was trapped in between the 2 discs were most of the pain : he described it that they still think that it is still piched and the body is trying to over come this... It said it could take a long time or that the nerves may never fully release so to speak and that it may always be that way.

I still have pain in front below the incision next to the " FAMILY JEWELS " and he has refered me to the general surgeon that did that part of the surgery - I am still waiting for TRI CARE to grant this...I told him that the pain is much worse all the time and the Air Force doctors tell me things are a okay.

But other than that things are excellent. I walk a little over 6 miles at least twice a week and no less than 2.5 in the morning before I go to work...

Get Better....

Roy,

How is everything going with the CM?

I think that things are for the most part the same; It feels like the pressure
around the left ear is getting worse as the time goes on. The ringing is constant... A lot louder at night than it has been for a while - then it will go down for a while or so it seems.

I am at the point that when I laugh; the pain in the back of my upper neck
back of the head really hurts a great deal. I try to smile a lot in stead and hold back on the laughter as much as possible..

I really have to consentrate at work; as the calls come in each one is different at times - and I am constantly writing down notes so I can remember the next day when I have answers for them. The collections dept leaves at 5:00 and I work till 7:00. So it seems that I get at least 3 calls that I have to call them back to get them the answer to the question or questions. It is so odd that I can remember things a month ago but things that happened this week at times I cannot remember them unless I have notes or something...

But it is still tolorable at this point and has not affected my performance at work to much. So much is learned each day it is unbelivable and my boss said that I am doing a excellent job. The employer knows nothing on this ACM thing. IT is none of thier business at this time; it is just another challenge in life at this time.... IT keeps me on my toes..

Hi Roy!
I'm so glad you pop in here when you can. I'm not on as often as I used to be, either, but I try to come on once a day and, like you, try to give back some encouragement. This site was such a huge help to me before my surgery.

The people you talk to for your work have no idea how fortunate they are to have you on the other end of the phone. I'm sure you have a compassion for them that those who haven't "been there" don't have.

I was just turned down for a renewal of my life insurance. That hurt! When my husband gets home tonight, I think I'll tell him we just saved a whole bunch of money. No more premiums for me! Um, yea?

Thanks for continuing to hang around!

Emily,

I am so glad to hear from you! It has been a long time - it looks like it is or may be time to change jobs yet one more time again.

I applied for a dispatcher job at the Fire Station on the Air Force Base 10 miles away from the house about 5 months ago... I figured I had not a chance - but then I thought let some one else disqualify me and not do it myself. To make a long story short a couple of weeks ago the guy called and said that he really wanted to talk to me. I meet him at 8:00 one night after work and went through the interview process and today in the email bod was a tentative job offer. Starting pay is 28,666. 3 12 hour hour days and 4 days off and then 4 12 hour days and 3 off or something like that. The bottom line is that YES i would like to have the job and just need to talk to someone about not wanting to work the night shift all the time. I would prefer the days but I was very flexible.. When that is worked out the start day is Oct 1 2007.

I am very excited and can not turn down the 6,500 dollar pay raise. Thre will be working holidays and part of some weekends but that is the way it goes. IT is a Federal Job and will be there as long as the Air Force Base is around. So thre is a lot of job security with that....

Take care and lets keep these people motivated to try to get better... As well as putting up a fair and clean fight so to speak...

Roy
