Do not ride in a car with him at any cost. Find a way out somehow like telling him you feel bad or whatever. Please don't risk your life too.

Unfortunately there is nothing I can think of that will help with a drug induced panic attack other than more of the drug, if it is from withdrawals, or some medical intervention if the drug itself caused the panic attack from the high. I've been through the withdrawals and panic attacks and they aren't exactly fun.
I'd be careful around him because it is hard to tell you exactly what he may or may not do, taking into consideration that you don't know what kind of drug he is on.(?)

Your brother may indeed love you, but he is not taking your best interests to heart if he is making you ride in a car with him and he is doing crazy things. That just doesn't sound right at all. Seriously, don't get in the car with him anymore.

I think he might be permantly brain damaged because i waited for him to come down and several hours passed and he still talked funny and acted paranoid he thinks everyone is after him and any car is someone following him where does he get this. Is someone talking like that to him or have the drugs damaged his brain to the point that he thinks everything is out to get him. he tells me that he harrasses people who he thinks are clocking and watching him and they sound like innocent bystanders im afraid hes going to be put away soon. im taking the panic attacks as if they are real and serious for now and just try to bring him back to reality but sometimes he gets defensive and angry and then i lose. im not going to get into his car if i can help it he drives over 120 now only time can tell now.

Sweetie, I am no professional, but I have to tell you it sounds like your brother may be trying to self medicate a larger problem here. It sounds like he is showing signs of paranoia/schizo type things. He may be doing the drugs to again, "self medicate".

Please, do your very best to find a reputable psychologist that can diagnose and treat this. If this really is the case, there is help and he can be treated and go on to lead a normal life.

I wish you the very best, but you have got to find a way to get him treated. If he is in a really bad state, you may be able to have him admitted to the hospital where they will know how to get him the help he needs.

It also to me sounds like he maybe has paranoid schizophrenia .People that have this self medicate.Try to get him to go see a doc about this.It will only get worse.

how long does meth last in someones system. my brother is 24 . how would i fully know if he is schizophrenic the drugs can make the same effects. how long should I wait and sit with him to know if hes really gone schizophrenic.If I told him to come to the hospital he would be in denial and get angry with me. What are the signs of meth use , what besides wild talk would tell me for sure.

Your brother either has Schizophrenia or a drug induced psychosis. He needs to be admitted to a hospital where they can treat him. They will only force him to go if he's showing signs of being a danger to himself or others. Perhaps your parents can help?

It appears that you care very much for your brother. I'm sure this isn't easy for you.

Meth users generally will lose weight and have a lot of scabs and sores on their face and arms that they will pick at while high. Those are some physical signs that you can see. The other things you mentioned about his personality, paranoia and aggression are also side effects of meth.

If your brother does have mental problems, though... the drugs are just making them worse I would imagine.

I think someone should do something though. He my just wind up hurting himself, or worse yet, you.
The first thing I would do is find out what drug he is on. That's just me. Others may say to get him to the hospital or tell the police, both of which would be for his own good, but how likely is ti that he would go to the hospital?

Just know that by becoming involved, you are also putting yourself at risk, so be careful.

well he has all those I thought he had poison ivy all the time when he does the drugs its with his cool friends and i cant go i have asthma so smoking crap is out of the question. if i ask him he says hes only doing pot. well i think its got something else in it mushrooms or meth. i told him to stop seeing those people and i cut off my friendship right away with the group i told them to phone me if hes gos suicidal no phone calls came they dont care i think they find him entertaining or funny im so pissed right now it makes me cry. well should i try to spend more time with him or join the group to see what they are doing and smoking i have to know.

To be honest, what will you do about it when you know? You won't be able to make him stop. He is psychotic and needs to get admitted. I'm sure that telling someone he gets in his car and drives in that state and at that speed would be enough for them to take him in.

yesterday i confronted my brother first i talked about meth 5 times and he changed the subject then i just came out and said it you have all the signs of meth use and he got angry and thrust himself at me like i struck a nerve. my boyfriend was there so he couldnt hit me or anything he started talking funny and denied it all and i said you might not even know its slashed into your pot to make it more addictive. our buddy commited suicide 2 years ago because he went meth like smoking the crap where they buy it. the crap is slashed with meth because smoking regular pot in small doses doesnt usually make you go meth in the head. our buddy went half shizo and was admitted in the ward. anybody reading this on meth save yourself now before its too late if you get brain damage you cant work a job and it sucks.
