My husband had an ultrasound and they found scar tissue in the bottom of his right lung. He has been a heavy smoker for 30 years, but has not had pneumonia. He has a small pleural effusion in the same area as the scar tissue. Monday he is having a CT of his lungs. There's no way that scar tissue could turn out to be anything other than scar tissue, is there? Please let me know if you've had any experience with this.
