I have had lower right side abdominal pain and sometimes feels like something is burning. The pain ranges from just to the right of my naval and as low as my groin (right side). It's doesn't seem to always be in the exact same spot. This has been ongoing for nearly 9 months.
So far I've had blood tests, ultrasound, ct scan, colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, small bowel series and standard x-rays. The endoscopy showed an inflamed stomach, so doc prescribed Nexium. All other results were normal. The Nexium has not alleviated the lower abdominal problems. For h. Pylori it came back .89 ( reference range states that less than .89 is negative and .89 to .99 is equivocal, .99+ positive)
I though it could have been some sort of side affect from my liver or gallbladder especially based on my history of moderate alcohol consumption. Although I'm thinking it's something further down as the closest the pain is to my liver is at my navel. I can't stop worrying about this and need help! Has anyone experience similar symptoms or perhaps have any idea if this is all attributed to a stomach inflammation.

Hi Eric
I also had all the tests you've had and came out only with a diagnosis of "stomach inflammation." My worst symptoms are burning pain in my right side and terrible nausea. I also have pain that goes down to my groin, but I don't attribute that to my stomach inflammation. The Doctor has told me that is IBS but I'm suspicious. I don't have any of the other symptoms of IBS. I took omeprazole and it didn't do a thing. Maybe it'll be reassuring to you that we have similar symptoms but nothing terrible has happened to either of us yet?! Is your liver (when you push up with your fingers under your right rib) tender to push? If it is, or the whites of your eyes are jaundiced, or any other part of you, you can assume your liver is involved. If not , then it's probably fine.

Wow, exact same symptoms. Except, I fortunately don't have the nausea. No tenderness in around my liver, so I thinks it's OK. But I do have that burning and mine also sometimes shoots down toward my groin. I'm still seeing if my GI can come up with something to figure out what it is. I'll post back when or if I can find out more. I was also wondering if that "stomach inflammation" can spread further down into the duodenum...

well, if the doctors can't find anything, but you are in so much pain, that always makes me think when the doctors do find it, it will be something really bad and usually too late to change, by the time they find it. or very troublesome if you are put on lots of medication that works kinda good.
have you thought of trying different things like detoxing? if it is something like IBS, its vary hard to change once your intestines have little holes in them that let food in to the blood. causing you to be sick all the time. but detoxing can help prevent that.
I would start with a full body cleans, then do a parasite cleans, then a Candida cleans, and then last a liver cleans, if you have never detoxed before it is good to start with the easy stuff first, and move on to the stronger stuff, like a liver cleans. Works better and is easier on your body. I’m sure if you did all that, your pain and other symptoms would get better, and if not, it still doesn’t hurt, because the benefits are that your organs work better and are not as sluggish. And you rid your body of harful bacteria and yeast, that destroys the digestive system. And Most people have this. Everyone I have made take a candida test, has had it. but not everyone wants to rid their body of it, as it seems like too much work, but I don’t think it is. And you can prevent IBS and many other things.
If you are interested let me know. And I can help you start!

I have had the same pain for over 18 months, all the same tests the only test that showed anything was the Endoscopy, it showed inflammation of the duodenum that I am on Losec for, I still get the pain under my ribs, sometimes the right side some times the left side, some times above my belly button.
I also have days when I feel real bad nausea !!
Anyway I got a Dog when its was 8 weeks old, after 3 weeks living with the dog I felt like I had a chest infection, every time I went to the Doctors they said I was fine... I paid for the skin ***** test and I am allergic to the world, well everything I was tested for.

I have also had a Gastroscopy which showed an inflamed stomach lining. I have been on lanzoprazole and currently on Domperidone.
I only have nausia. I constantly feel sick but its agravated by eating. I lost 2 stone after the first year but the domperidone helped with the nausia...slightly. There is no pain at all.
The doctor noticed that I have haemochromatosis and my ferratin count was about 3-4 times higher than the maximum normal range. I have now been bloodletting a few times and the count is down to normal (ish) levels. I still feel midly sick constantly.
Its been two years now and its really affecting my habits. I only eat mild foods like chicken, salad and potatoes. I dont go out at all really as I dont like being in strange confinded restaurants when feeling sick. I have managed to put weight back on but I need some help.
The doctors have no explanation and are simply waiting a while to see if the haemochromatosis treatment helps.
