Interestingly enough, I just got my order of this in the mail. I was thinking that I really might have H Pylori (which I've heard conflicting reports as to whether the gum eradicates it, but I figured it could at least help with the stomach pain)

Just yesterday, I left a message for my doctor and told her that I really wanted a prescription for the triple therapy for H Pylori. My friend who's a doctor said to give it a try-- though I don't have much faith in my doc (she didn't tell me that I had high H Pylori antibodies until 5 months after I was tested), that the worst thing that could happen is she could say no. She actually did call in the prescription, but I won't be starting for at least two weeks because I'm going out of town on business and then to San Diego for vacation and if it has a negative effect on me for some reason, I don't wanna be away from home.

Anyway, I figured I'd take the mastic gum in the mean time. I just took one literally like an hour ago. I'm going to take them twice a day between meals as suggested and see if anything changes. I'll probably stop taking it once I start the antibiotic therapy, but I'll let you know if I notice any differences in the mean time.......
