hi everyone-

a little concerned about this here....december of 2006 i had unprotected sex with a woman that i shouldnt have. it was a late night bar type thing and i cant get back in contact with her. word on the street is she had Hep C. it is now September of 2007. i didnt really have any worries between december and july. however, in july i was told that i had shingles and then in august i was told i have folliculitis in the groin region of the pubic hairs. i was very fatigued for about a week or so with a sore throat, very tired, but no diarrhea and the weakness and sore throat went away in about a week. is that possibly the start of HIV? would it wait about 8 months to start up? and now i am feeling fine. i did happen to lose about 10 pounds over the course of a few weeks but that was during the heat of summer and im still at that weight right now. (please cut the lectures about how i should not have done what i did and how i should change my lifestyle, because i have rather significantly). i plan on getting tested also. there was lubricant used if that helps/hurts any input. no oral sex given by me either.

hi my advise to you is instead of trying to have others diagnose you just go and get tested mate. no other way of knowing except that test. you know unprotected sex is a nono these days. everyone reacts differently to hiv. symptoms are different and also similar to other infections. go get tested asap

as said above you cannot use your symptoms to diagnose hiv.
testing is the only way to know for sure
good luck
