Question… My period will usually last for about 3-4 days on an average. On the 1st day I spot, the 2nd day is the heaviest and by the 3rd day I’m getting back to normal. This month’s “round-up” started with a more heavy flow on day 1. On day 2 it continued. And on day 3 blood was pouring out and I had large clots that were thick and dark red. I soiled 3 tampons and yards of wadded-up toilet paper (was at work when this unexpected incident occurred) within 2-3 hours (normal tampon usage consists of 5-6 tampons for the entire duration). My cramps are mild and normal. I do feel a little on the dizzy/tired side, but I imagine that is to be expected considering the abnormality. I’m almost 30 and I’ve never experienced this much blood flow with my menstrual period! Any ideas on why this is happening? Instigators? Remedies?
