I am on my first day of eating nothing but rice every 2-3 hours and water in between. It sucks. But, supposedly, within 2 weeks, I'm supposed to start feeling better. I am doing this to see if my symptoms are caused by food intolerances. I am very, very ill. I hope I don't get malnourished and die? Has anyone else ever eaten nothing but rice and water? I can't even season the rice. The only thing I can use is sea salt.

This is not something a doctor told me to do. It is something I'm doing on my own, out of desparation. My syptoms are so bad . . . I have lost my job, my home, my family, any friends I ever may have had, and I'm bed ridden 99% of my life. And I'm very sick of existing.

Sorry to hear that you are sick. What exactly are your symptoms? I have never heard of a rice and water diet. I dont think you need to go to such lengths to get better. Tell me what your problems are and i can help you. There is always another way besides the extreme. What is your current diet? Weight? height? I'll help.

My neighbor did that years ago for weight loss but she got sick. THere are no nutrients in rice at least the white rice. Can you add maybe some organic vegetables or fruit? A banana?

Well if your symptoms are caused by Celiac then you will only get worse. So it’s a strange way to find food intolerance. Since you can have an intolerance to rice. If you are already so sick, starving your body from nutritious food would not be a good idea. You will only get worse, could affect your organs.

[removed] A good way to find food intolerance is eating a healthy breakfast, and right down what it was, and write down how you feel 2 hours later, is a good way to start. Also try detoxing.

I would think a dr. could tell you how to find out what's wrong. They should be able to put you on a program to help you. I'm sure you aren't the only person who has been through this. You shouldn't do this by yourself. I am sorry you are going through this. I don't think you should do an all rice diet, especially for such a long time.

There are no nutrients in rice. I tried it many years ago and by the third day I was so weak I gave it up. My body was warning me.
