Trying to go off Suboxone. Great medication when I was going off oxycodone. My body has a hard time with pain meds and when I stop taking them, even when I only take them for about 12 weeks. My body goes thru the sick withdrawals. I am also taking Suboxone for pain relief as well, but I would like not to take it any longer. My PM doc said I should stay on it for pain control, but it would be nice to be off of any kinds of pain meds. Mostly I am only taking a 1/2 pill a day, but sometimes 1 a day depending on the pain. I have been off of it as long as 30 to 36 hours and get the sweats and become nauseated. Does anyone know how long it takes to go off Suboxone and no longer have the withdrawal affects?
