Can you tell if someone has IBS by doing a colonoscopy? I recently switched GI doc's because we arent getting to the cause of my severe stomach pain!! She wants to do another colonoscopy and i really want a second opinion! In the meantime i suffer daily! I dont have an appt with the new Dr til Sept 25. Do you agree that i should get a second opinion? Im assuming i have IBS......or possibly food allergies of some sort! My last colonoscopy was 2005 and i had pollup's removed! Any advise would be appreciated!
