I drove through the mountains of N.C. August 8th of this year and when I got home I had lost hearing in my left ear. I have a lot of pressure in it. My Dr. gave me ear drops saying I had "swimmers ear". The drops didn't help. He said my ear looked normal from his exam and put me on an antibiotic and a different ear drop. No change. So he made me an appt. with an ear, nose & throat specialist. The appt. is 3 weeks away still. My ear is getting worse and I am having headaches and my left nostrel is stopped up now. Have any of you had this before and do you think I will be OK to wait another 3 weeks? Thank you.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. You may have allergies and or sinus troubles. Sinus congestion often blocks up ears also. Good luck at the doctors.

see about using decongestants and saline nasal spray washes in the mean time.. it should help dislloge and drain some of the sinus gunk.
