I am so worried.

My partner is 31 years old and for the last 3 months I have been telling him to go to the doctors about two large black and brown moles on his stomach.

He went two weeks ago and was refeered to the derm, I tool him today and they removed both of them and stiched him up. I wasn't in the room with him and he didn't ask anything, so I don't know what the derm said to him. He said if the results are bad news he will have to come in for a opp and blood tests.

I am a natural hypocondriact about myself and my loved ones, I only noticed them as at the time I was worrying about a mole of my own, so compared that to his and was like '**** get to the doctors' as the looked like the images on the net.

There is one large one that is higher and it is black in the centre and brown and not even around the edges and the other one is the same but half the size. I think he has had them since I have known him 7 years, but I am now sure about the colour. He has never sun bathed, I have, it should be me not him. He is my best buddy and I love him so much I can't bear the thought of him been ill or losing him.

Can anyone tell me any positives about their moles that turned out to be inosent? Anyone? We have to wait 2 weeks for the results!!!!

Thanks

I am waiting for results of a biopsy and am also anxious. I have been doing a bit of research and I think the important thing to watch for is change. Did his moles change? Size, color, elavation, bleeding, itching. I am the post directly down from you my handle is crowheart. My mole did change and i am freaking. I also read the melanoma rarely starts in moles that are raised already. They ususually start in flat non-elavated moles. Be carefull about reading all of the posts here because we don't know if the moles are cancerous yet. Some of the posters here have been through hell and back. Wait for the diagnosis and then find out all you can so you will be prepared. I am almost certain mine is probably cancerous because of the change. Good luck...
