Did you have a Magnetic Resonance Cholangiopancreatography test done? My ALP level is really high which I was told is indicative of problems with the Liver Functioning as normal. ALP is a Tumor Marker and is sometimes elevated in those with Bone Cancer or Liver Cancer. Since your GB is already out possibly you have some scar tissue on your bile ducts, my hep doctor ran the MRCP on me yesterday looking for gallstones or a tumor blocking the bile ducts, I havent gotten the results back yet. Could be that there is something lodged in one of the bile ducts? At any rate its worth asking the doctor about if you are concerned.;)

My AP has gradually gotten higher over the years. The dr told me he thought mine was caused from bone loss, I do have osteoporosis. I did not know gallbladder would cause it to be high. I do have gallstones & need to have my GB out. I'm glad you posted, that makes me realize I need to get on with GB surgery but I dread it.
