Just a question for you all. Please let me know if I am barking up the wrong tree.

I have had many unexplained symptoms for the past year, and I'm trying to figure out what's going on.

Here are my symptoms:

1.Twitching muscles - random, quick, sporatic, all over the body.

2.Sharp piercing pains in my inner elbows and knees, and sometimes the ribs and front of the neck.

3. Strange burning pains in the muscles behind my head, neck and upper back. If I press on these muscles, it really hurts. More than like a normal spasm.

4. Hands, feet, arms and legs go numb at night. Not always all at the same time.

Other than these, I feel great. I'm not tired, good energy levels, my joints don't ache, (except my neck, but I've been in car accidents and attribute it to that) Just what I've described.

I am almost 40, have a history of low thyroid and anxiety. I'm on Zoloft, and this seems to help with the symptoms I've described.

Let me know if anyone has a clue.

Hi Kim,

These symptoms can be due to fibromyalgia as I too have experienced these and with testing most showed nothing. Except for the numbness, now there I had high blood pressure at the time and need to watch this all the time. I was unable to take anything for the HBP due to adverse side affects. I was able to bring it under control by cutting out all salt intake and eating certain foods that are good for lowering HBP. I believe that we are prone to having our blood pressure go up and down, so I have been told.

In any case have your doctor check this out for you. It could be another reason for these happening.
