Maybe you need to try a deep conditioning treatment. Also a product to help control frizzy, coarse hair. That may also help protect your hair if you blow it dry.
One thing I used to do is put my regular conditioner on my hair and wait an hour or so then rinse. Worth a try. Also, a good anti frizz conditioner after you wash. Or one for dry hair.
