Well after being on paxil for 6 months before which did nothing beside make me manic and more thoughts of death my dr switch me from paxil to seroquel 25mg 2x aday then up it in 20 days. Before switch I was manic bad ran my bank account over 600 bucks, drinking everyday, quit my job also what a ride theres more really don't wanna talk about it!!! Dr said I'am bipolar and switch me on serquel. Ok here's the problam I know about paxil withdraws but I'am kinda confused I'am have eletric shocks in my head and body and it is from paxil. I can sleep GREAT thats from the seroquel. But the really bad is anger. I'am like a time bomb, irrtiable inplusve anger actions. I don't know if thats from paxil withdraw or from starting serqouel? What do you think. Also I was taking paxil would it still take 3 or 4 weeks to get the full benifit from seroquel still. Although I feel ok anger comes and goes. I feel way better now then I was of being 6 months on paxil and that was a ride for sure never again!!

thanks

My daughter is on Seroquel and it will definitely help with the mania as well as the anger and irritability issues that you are having. 25mgs is still a low dose...my daughter is now on 575mgs/day in divided doses and that works well for her. It does take some time to get up to the right dose but not as long as some other meds out there.

Hang in there....your doctor should be able to increase you up each week until you are feeling better. It is good that you are starting to feel better even at the small dose that you are on.

The withdrawal symptoms from the Paxil are common.....just make sure you don't come off it too fast...go down just like you went up with it.

Good luck and keep us posted on how things are going ~ Goody:angel:
