I was diagnosed with fibro 2 years ago. At that time I was working outside the home and was unable to continue doing so. I have seen many of doctors with many different opinions on how to manage what I feel. That includes anti-depressants and birthcontrol (I had a tubal 4 years ago) so it is an added hormonal imbalance. Has anyone noticed a change in their menses? Has anyone been thrown in early menopause because of the hormonal imbalance? I was told that my pituatary gland was slightly enlarged and could possibly be the cause of all the pain that I feel.
To tell you the truth, I have given up and am managing on my own, with visits to the doctor every 3 months to refill any prescription I may think works to a degree. I also do yoga for relaxation and barter with a parant for massage therapy each week, which does really help for a couple of days. It at least works the kink out.
But I want my life back.

Hi Mackaral. I started having menses problems about the time I started having my pain. I do believe it has something to do with our hormones. Next week, I will be going to my nineth doctor. It is becoming more stressful, not to mention more expensive!!!!
I did try colostrum, but to no avail. I was really hoping it would be my miracle. Now, I am trying magnesium and malic acid from the health food store. It is less than half the price of the colostrum. I just wasn't one of the lucky ones that it helped. I am 46 and my periods are frequent. I don't know if I should go on the pill. I did before, and still had frequent ones. I guess we will have to do our own research and try to find something that will help us. I love this board as you know offer what helps them. Bye for now, Kathy
