...everyone stops to look as another newbie enters the room

I have been diagnosed with depression (1999) ADD (2006) and this year
I added bipolar to the list. Rapid cycling to be exact. I prefer to think of
myself as a happy laid back person...and I am until I rage. Does anyone
else lose control when they are angry? I am under control most of the time
at my highly stressful job. When I come home my mood can go from happy
to screaming like a lunatic. I am on effexor 150 1x a day, straterra 25 mg 3x day, and abilify 5mg 1x day. I see a psychiatric nurse and no counceling as
of now but am working on that. Anyone know a drug that helps with rage ??Suggestions ?? Experiences ?? Thanks.

One more thing. Clutter makes me very nervous and agitated. Is this part of the bipolar or
just my personality?

I have rage issues as well, I'm also known to black out if I let the rage take control of me.. Right now I'm taking Geodon, Lithium and Trazodone and even though I do notice a change in how I react the rage is still there BUT I'm in therapy once a week and am currently learning how to deal with talking myself out of being that angry and not dwelling, etc.......

Clutter also makes me nervous as does crowds and loud noises when I'm in that place I can't get my thoughts together, I lose focus and my day is pretty much useless...

Again my best advice is to go to therapy and learn some coping skills it's a tough adjustment but it beats the rage...

A number of people on the board have been prescribed seroquel for irritability/episodes or outbursts of anger/rage. Personally, I would think that you might be better off adding a second mood stabilizer. The outbursts are usually a result of a hypomanic state. Other than abilify, you do not have a mood stabilizer in place. The usual starter dosage of abilify is usually between 10-15 mg/day according to their literature...so 5 mg would be on the low side. Given that your moods are not being stabilized, it would seem that you could use more abilify or another mood stabilizer such as lithium or lamictal.
