Although I apply lotion both morning and night to my hands I'm getting really dry finger tips, so much so they have become very sensitive to flipping through papers and stretching (making or releasing a fist) them is tight and is beginning to rip the skin, even using this laptop touch pad is uncomfortable.

I've tried a few different lotions over the years:

* Corn Huskers
* Bag Balm
* Udder cream/Udderly smooth
* Jergen's
* Some 'intensive care' samples

I live in a dry climate, I'm sure it contributes. I also apply benzoyl peroxide as part of a facial regimen (acne preventive), which can be very drying, but I put lotion on just following that after washing my hands. I also wash my hands a lot, which contributes to the issue I'm sure, but I use Softsoap's milk & honey moisturizing liquid soap, it seems gentle enough though I don't know if it actually moisturizes.

It's growing into a real issue, I have a tingling sensation throughout day now; very uncomfortable. Not sure what to do, what else to try, some thoughts?

My finger tips do this in the winter and my hands are constantly in water at work. Have you ever tried liquid bandaid? This really works for me! It stings when you first put it on............but it seals the cut and eventually heals. I usually use that along with neosporin. When you first apply it, blow on it and that helps with the stinging. I find alot of lotions dont work.........especially since my hands are constantly in water.............even the waterproof lotions come off!
