In another of your posts you said LDN will reduce most fibro symptoms. Did you have WORSE aching after exercise and physical therapy, chiro, or massage?
I DO. I feel like something gets released in my system and it's like a poison. I feel out of it and pretty dizzy the night I have PT and then the next day that weird feeling goes away and I sometimes have the physical pain worse - or better.
I also have:
Sleep Apnea and use CPAP and still wake up a groggy, headachy person for half the day.
Endometriosis - take continuous BCP to suppress periods and level out hormones. No period in 6 years.
Migraines and TENSION head/neck aches.
Vertigo and general dizziness.
Anxiety and depression.
HEAT INTOLERANCE - esp. in the summer. AGR, no doctor, and I've seen a TON, traditional and wholistic MD's who are stumped by this one.
I probably have more, but that is all I can think of now (POOR MEMORY and CONCENTRATION!!!)
So, did you have any of these symptoms/problems and did they go away with the LDN? I'm especially interested in the increase in pain and weird feeling after any type of manipulating and movement of my body like I get at physical therapy.
ThANKS!

Sorry I did not see your post earlier.
LDN and all the supplements that I listed previously will minimize your symptoms to almost nothing. Additionally you should take Veinotonic 2caps 4x/day as a lot of the pain that you feel is circulatory pain. Take Jarrow's Zymes-Plus for the pancreatic enzymes- I take 3-4 caps before lunch and dinner. You will have to experiment with dosages as everyone is different.
What is Endometriosis?

Batman:
May I ask how you have such knowledge of the things you suggest taking? I don't even know what they are? Are they homeopathic, herbs, supplements from the health food store?
Is there an actual thing called "circulatory pain". I don't have anything like peripheral vascular disease, in fact I have to watch out about things like taking Ginko, for example. Touted to help so much. ....I finally asked an expert about this, because I have migraine headaches, where the vessels dialate and constrict. Well, I wondered 'if Ginkgo is supposed to open the vessels and help thinking becoem clearer, wouldn't that also affect my migraines?" He said "YOU ARE RIGHT, people with migraines need to be very careful in trying this and not use it if causes a migraine. Then, get off it."
Endometriosis is a condition where the lining of the uterus (endometrium) gets outside into the abdominal cavity and adheres to other organs, causing a lot of problems. I'm suppressed hormonally, so I don't get a period and stay at a steady level of hormones.

Some FMS people have inflammatory circulatory problems (vasculitus) which can cause a lot of pain (again autoimmune related).
I take the following supplements:
Veinotonic- By accident I found out that works great for my FM induced vasculitus. 2caps 4x/day
Vinpocetine- great for fibrofog and "micro circulatory" problems. 1cap 4x/day
Sublingual vitamin B-12 (above average doses)- necessary to help rebuild everything that autoimmune responses tear down in the body.
Melatonin (large doses)- helps me sleep, a superb antioxidant, necessary for many body functions including the immune system. 9mg before sleep
Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc- I take 1500mg Calcium/day, they help reduce FM symptoms.
Jarrow's Zymes Plus- 3 to 4 caps before lunch and dinner- It seems to reduce autoimmune responses, and reduce my FM symptoms, don't know why.
Transdermal Progesterone- I am over 40 and I am vulnerable to hormone imbalances. Progesterone partially addresses endocrine imbalance problem.
Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN), a miracle drug. 4.5mg before sleep. LDN does something to the endocrine system that stops or greatly reduces most autoimmune disorders. Without the LDN, none of the above supplements would be very effective. It is FDA approved but considered an experimental drug for the treatment of autoimmune/immune disorders. Virtually NO side effects. Submit a prescription to a compounding pharmacy with LDN experience.
All of the supplements can be found at vitamin stores or on internet except Veinotonic which is mail order.
I suggest that you experiment with the vinpocetine to see if it magnifies your migraine problems.

I don't know if I have autoimmune pain. I have pain that was a direct result of an auto accident. How do your theories fit in with trauma?

I did read of a study that traumas can cause autoimmune disorders- especially MS. I read it in the Science Daily 4-5 months ago.

Sweet Pea- Don't take this wrong but Carpal Tunnel Syndrome could just be one of the many symptoms of FM. I was having minor Carpal Tunnel Syndrome problems during a relapse when I caught a cold but the Carpal went away when I added Jarrow's Zymes Plus to my supplements.

I had no idea I had carpal Tunnel until I had my most recent emg. I am also dealing with probable thoracic outlet syndrome. I am to be checked for venous compression next week with a vascular surgeon. I am going to PT for my frozen shoulder which is slowly coming loose. I had thought my spasms had broken for good but I was wrong. They are back. So many of these stupid syndromes go hand and hand. If I get lucky, I may be able to fix two of the three of my problems. If not, I continue on as I have been for the past 2 and a half years. I get angry at the way I feel, how I got here and where I'm going. As long as I'm angry I'm not depressed!
With all your supplements and meds (you're taking over 20 pills a day, right?), on a scale of 1-10, what is your pain level? (considering of course that we all have different thresholds?) It's always great to see a success story. Gives the rest of us hope.

I don't have any pain. I used to be a "super athlete" so I know when my body is "out of tune". The low level vasculitis and occasional minor relapses keep me from attaining the athletic performance that I was use to. The low level symptoms that I detect are vasculitus, loss of strength in shoulders and below the knees and arthritis in the hands. These symptoms (attacks) afflict me in late afternoon or early evening. The low level vasculitis affects my athletic endurance.

I used to have lots of pain and every FM symptom known to mankind before LDN but not any more.
