 Hi everyone,, I am posting this question on a couple different addiction forums, i n hopes that there will be an answer for me!

I have heard from MANY sources that Subutex/Suboxone/Buprenorphine is UNAVAILABLE in Canada.
My interent searches and phone calls basically support this statement.

Someone in another forum told me this is untrue, and that I just need to do an extensive search to find out where I can go to get thie form of treatment.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated...like if anyone out there LIVES in Ontario Canada and has been given this drug...or a LINK to a website....or a PHONE NUMBER to call.....

Thank you so much! If I cannot get this drug where I am living, i think my route will have to be methadone.

Lilacs:I have been on Oxycontin since 2001.I have spinal cord problems and have had 2 surgerys to try and correct the problem. Both operations provided a little relief for a short time but the problems returned and i am forced back to using oxycontin (40 mg 3 times daily). The surgeon wanted to put me on
80 mg twice daily but i refused.I inquired about going on Subutex to get off Oxycontin then try a non narcotic pain killer,I was told that Subutex was not available in Cabnada that methadone would be the the way I would have to go.Now they are talking about trying a new surgical technique.hopefully this will work but I will have to go through a long long treatment in the methadone program.I am a my end as I do not want to go through another 4 or 5 hour surgery but I want to get off Oxycontin.I am still looking to see if Subutex/Suboxone is available in canada.
Frustrated:confused: :( in Ontario
