My 95 year old mother has a RBC of 29. What does that mean?

Look at the lab report where it says the rbc result, next to that there should be a reference range or perhaps it is referred to as limits. Come back to the board and post those numbers , it will be two numbers a low end number and a high end number. What did the doc say about the rbc number?

Louise5--I don't know how we can answer that question due to your mom's age. Perhaps her body isn't making RBC's due to age or disease. You would really have to ask her doctor who would have a complete view of her medical status. Good luck to you both! FLFLOWERGIRL:)
