View Full Version : Surgical Procedure and Xanax need advice

I am having a procedure on Monday and my doc told me to take advil before the procedure since they dont give a local for this, my dos nurse told me depending on my threshold of pain it will depend, she told me to take 2 Xanax wondering if I should take 2 or not, I usually take 1\2 in the moring and another 1\2 at night. need assisance.

it will really depend on on how sensitive you are to it. And also what procedure you are having done. Xanax doesnt affect blood clotting or anything like that, so that wont be an issue. If it wories you, meet in the middle and take one. It should be enough to relieve your mind.

thanks for the reply, the procedure is a uterous biopsy it is a standard procedure in the Doctors office but my nurse told me there will be pain but it is just going to depend on my body and how it will react to the procedure. I suppose if I can have 3 children naturally this should be a breeze, yea right. anyway I will take one zanax before the procedure and see what happens. ;)
