Grocery stores have a Dairy Department, and in this section of the store you find both milk products and eggs. Diets that discuss food groups (such as the old Weight Watchers system and diabetic diets) say that milk products are in the Milk Group and eggs are in the Protein Group. If you're a vegetarian, you get to decide if you're a lacto-vegetarian (you include milk products), or an ovo-lacto-vegetarian (you include milk products and eggs in with your veggie diet). --Rheanna ParanoidJosh 09-24-2007, 09:34 PM Eggs are not dairy, they just come from the same animal Edit i meant same farm lol! rheanna 09-25-2007, 12:22 AM Eggs and milk may come from the same farm :) but they don't come from the same animal. But if you're like me, and just pick them up right next to each other in the grocery store without ever seeing chickens and cows in real life, they could just as easily come from the same animal. lol |
