I would have this checked out by your doctor. I don't think this is a symptom of perimenopause. Godbless

I get this in my fingers sometimes. I also get this on the side of my face once in a while. Check it out with a doctor. My neurologist said that it could be symptom of migraine. I would get it checked out. Tee.

This was one of my most troubling symptoms. I would get a light numbness and tingling on one side of my face. My hands and feet would tingle. My eye would twitch. I had many diagnostic tests that all came back negative. No signs of MS, brain scan was clear, heart was healthy etc. My endocronologist explained that this could be a symptom of menopause. I believe that it was. Now that I am fully in menopause, this symptom does not occur much anymore. I would advise you to see your doctor and explain the symptom, they may want to rule out any other causes by running some tests.

Have you had your calcium level checked? How about your parathyroid and thyroid levels? All 3 of these are causes for my numbness and tingling.

Im getting all this and my estrogen levels are very low..guessing that is what you have. Have your levels checked..bet this is it...my problem is I cant tolerate any of the estrogens, or not absorbing them well..good luck to you!

Oh my gosh. This is why I"m here. I was just convinced I was having a stroke. My leg from my knee down, mostly, was feeling tingly, cold, etc. Then the more I thought about it, the worse it got, and then I thought I could feel it in my arms too.
I am sure that it's from sitting all day - I am at my desk here for 12 hours a day sometimes! But I always have to think the worst!!! I hate it. I just took an ativan, and I am already feeling better, but geeeeeeeeez, does it always have to be that we think we are dying???? :(

From what I understand, this comes from lack of estrogen-the estrogen is not reaching our nerve receptors..best to have your doc check your hormone levels.

I have what I call, periods of feeling weird, just tingly, twitchy feelings in my arms and legs and feet, feeling kind of spacy, sleepy, out of it. I felt that way today, in fact. I also have noticed since I seem to have stopped having periods (for good, I hope!) that I have much more stiffness in my joints, and they hurt some. I have had a real problem lately with my heels killing me, especially after a day on my feet at work. No matter what shoes I wear, they hurt. I have always been active, so it is hard. Anyway, I keep trying to find new ways to help myself feel better. I hope you do too!

I am so glad I found this website. A few weeks ago i had this tingling feeling in my legs kind of like a weekness and felt kind of off balance. it only lasts about 10 seconds or so but is kind of a scary feeling. I have also had some wierd periods that run into each other and sometimes i even skip a month or so. I can't wait for this to be over this is really horrible to never know when you are going to have a period. I use to have mine every 28 days like clock work now I never know if my period will be light or heavy or painful.
