I have had what feels like a constant partical or lesian in the right side of my throat, it does not hurt to swallow, I have had it for over three weeks now and am getting concerned, because it does not belong there. I am wondering what it could be(thinking cancer) I'm a former smoker(haven't smoked in 5 years) smoked off and on for 20 years, I'm 50 year old women.

Do you see a lesion or does it just feel like something is there. If it just feels like something is there, it could be a number of things, post nasal drip, acid reflux, anxiety. If you see something, go to an ent and get examined. On second thought, because you have had these symptoms for 3 weeks, I would get an exam regardless. I'm a cancer survivor so my mantra is "err on the side of caution". Good luck.
