View Full Version : Iberogast, Gallbladder, H Pylori-- oh my!

Hi all,

As I mentioned on an earlier post, I have just received the triple therapy combination for treatment of H Pylori. I start taking it october 1st (after a trip out of town).

A part of me is optimistic that this will help; another part of me is not. I know I should be more positive, but given how everything has gone up until now, it's hard for me to go, "Oh, finally, this must be it!"

My docs have mentioned that perhaps I have functional dyspepsia. I was doing some research and found out about a product from Germany called "Iberogast". the research looks really promising. It combines a lot of herbs-- clown flower, milk thistle, peppermint, among others. I guess I'm just hoping to have a "back up" remedy in case the H Pylori doesn't work and I decide to go the "functional dyspepsia" route.

Also, though my last ultrasound came up clear, i still wonder if my gall bladder is still involved (my first ultrasound showed microstones/sludge and the second one three months later showed nothing). My doc never thought my problems were gall bladder related, however. sometimes I get twinges of pain under the right of my rib cage-- nothing horrible or even frequent, but it's enough to make me wonder if something might be going on there.....

I guess it's hard 'cause all of these symptoms can indicate more than one problem, and until I know what that problem is, i worry that it's ALL of them. :)

Thanks for any input anyone can give me...
AJ
