Was wondering what kind of blood count results anyone had when diagnosed with Reiters. Was your white count up due to the bacteria or was it normal? Reiters was brought up as a possibility by my PCP, but he is now moving away from that. I too have had swollen inflamed toes. They were painful when it first started. Then the pain went away and I was left with some pretty funky looking toes. Then a year later I had a bout with a stubborn iritis, then I had a bout with really high blood pressure for a coulple of months. Then another one of my toes became swollen. After that it moved to the side of my foot, then to my heal. I have also had bouts of severe back pain (could hardly breathe) rib pain, jaw pain. Everything comes and goes except for my feet problems.
My blood count came back completely normal. Mysed rate seemsto stay in the 70-8o range. I had a slightly positive ANA (PCP thinks it was a false positve. Did a double stranded DNA for lupus. Not That. Negative for RF. Negative for lyme at this point. ( I still wonder about that). I am to see a rheumatologist in the next few months (when I can get in)
I am also posted on the blood disorders board, hemochromatosis runs in my family so I thought I would check on that too.
