My question is, what would you consider a blip or a visual blip since thats only my problem now. I do have them everyday, some more severe then others. Most of my visual blips mainly happen when I just wake up in the morning. My eyes just feel sort of off. I figure this is the way this JUNK goes!! Other then that, I feel GOOD!!!
I am just wondering.
Thanks!

Hi Cathy
I'm not sure u can "ID" it---there is just so many factors involved---usually if a person---is hung up--by vision--and gets a "Blip"---they will describe it as a "visual blip"....if I understand u correctly...

I was kind of wondering what exactly "visual blips" are. But I guess from your answer it's difficult to describe? I feel like my right eye is "lagging" sometimes... a bit slower on focusing and getting to where I'm looking, if that makes sense, lol. Does that sound something like what you call visual blips?
Edit:
Cathy: So awesome that you're feeling good otherwise!!!! Really happy for you!

Hi Cathy
Just remembered something the Doc's(Univ of Penn) said on vision
---takes a lot of different part of the brain to process vision---many more parts then for movement processing, etc...for a visual scene to complete processing and to move from vision processing to cognitive processing---where it is understood/interpreted---takes about 200 Mil Sec---so ur understanding of what u have seen(one scene)is always behind what ur eyes are actually seeing at any instant in time---if---there is any motion to ur eyes(or the scene has motion)occurring faster the 200MS---ur brain tends to merge the various visual scene---when all part of the brain are working correctly and in synchronization--from a balance standpoint---if u will---which with this junk is dubious at best----think I remember most of it correctly(but not completely sure).
In any case---they used this example of normal vision processing---to explain why---with my hosed up vestibular system---it was taking so long to get corrected/back to normal---course my previous vision injury---made it even harder to straighten out....
From all of that---I sort of felt---that vision would take a lot of time and effort and be the very last to go.....which turned out to be true....for me.
So I just called all of my "Blips" from month 12 through 13/14 Vision Blips---never even thought to call them anything else....since that was the only thing left that needed fixing.

Hi Cathy
Got a couple of spins from working under the car at 24 months---did some MEP's and they were gone....
Had no blips between 13/14 months and 24...

subs! thanks again for answering! i have another question :D
you already had the oscillopsia prior to the ear issues??
if not, how long did that part of this junk last? i know you said it ended around the 13/14th month, but how long did you actually experience the oscillopsia alltogether?
also, the people you knew that had the oscillopsia while just sitting still, do you know if they ever recovered???
have a great weekend and thank you so much for sticking around here!

HI Alexi
you already had the oscillopsia prior to the ear issues??....
Yes---from a submarine accident---long time before the vestibular injury---the brain and already accommodated/adjusted for that---so there was no problems with my vision---prior to vestibular injury---submariners take a physical yearly---which include a detailed eye/vision exam---any probs and ur out---continued on---on the submarines for another 25 yrs(happened in the fifth year of service).
how long did that part of this junk last?......
Form the submarine accident think about year----for the vestibular injury it was prob there all along---but really noticed it in the 12 month---it was gone by 13/14 month---and has not returned...24 month was just vertigo a couple of spins---from working on the car---have worked on it(same positions)many times since---without probs...
also, the people you knew that had the oscillopsia while just sitting still, do you know if they ever recovered???......
Everyone about 12 or 13 that I knew---recovered---that's not unusual.

thanks so very much for answering~! i am so glad you are well and that gives me such hope! i haven't ever had any problems, except astigmatism and nearsighted before all this. i got hit with the dizzies in beginning of june. i think i started seeing like this maybe early july with some dizzies here and there. since probably mid-late july this has been it with some serious imbalance. i sometimes feel like someone is pushing my body to the right as i walk...weird. i have been walking alot, as i read in some of your other posts....is there any one vestibular exercise that you suggest or that helped you over the hurdle the most???? or maybe it will just take a long time for me.....*ughhhh* i am glad that the others recoverd...i feel more relieved now. thought having it all the time, even just sitting still made my likelihood of being back to my old self impossible. i am assuming you had the fish bowl and "off" feeling with this junk too?
thanks again...made my day better :)

Hi Alexi
I just did the normal VRT's + walking(a lot)---fish bowl---yep.....takes a lot of time---but in the end it works/pays off....

thanks so much subs---you da man!!!:D got another question though...did it just ease away...or did you wake up one day with it gone?? what is typical? i'm assuming the easing part..ughh. i've been walking my butt off hoping it will help, and it seems to be in some ways--i need the exercise anyway ;) did you also have the weird "after light" like when you close your eyes you can still see shapes of objects, etc even when it's not that bright? i also see the jiggly vision just sittin with my eyes closed...did you? thanks again for stickin around here!!!!

Hi Alexi
Just eased away....none of the vision items that u described...just took time.
