I'm just going to come out and say it.. I've got issues.. but this happens to be bothering me to my wits end right now. This itching thing. I do have a petechial(sp?) rash over a bit of myself but no hives, or welts, or anything like that. (Save one misquito bite, which is the only thing that doesn't itch right now.) I've got no new detergents, no derm allergies.. and best of all it seems to have no apparent correlation with anything I can put my finger on. I've not taken any meds or eaten any strange foods. It just happens. It starts and then (later, much later) it stops. It's so weird. Changing clothes, wearing no clothes, showering, sun, no sun, lotion, no lotion.. nothing helps and nothing seems to be triggering it. I'm not exercising, stressed, hot, somewhere new.. It's so hard not to scratch. It's everywhere, and it's awful. I've never itched so bad in all my life. Even my eyelid itches. This keeps happening and I don't know even what to try to do about it anymore. I apologize if I sound all freaked out but.. it's absolutely maddening.
Does anyone have any ideas about what it is or what I could try? Anyone experience this insanity? Any ideas would be most appreciated.
Thank you

I have the same thing and it seems to come when I am very stressed. It IS maddening, every few seconds, another part of my body itches. It gets to the point where you just lay there waiting for the next itch. I have had this before and it just stops but now I have had it for 2 weeks on and off. I will see a dr. I am wondering if you did, what they said and if it's still happening.

Sorry, I wish I could say I did but I've not seen a doctor for this. I feel like I've looked through every book I've left from school and every website I can think of and can't find any information that matches this well enough. Once it starts, it will keep itching for hours... everywhere. A few days ago, I was asleep and it started... woke me up. I don't wake up to use the restroom. Hopefully, they'll be able to give you some cream or tell you you're allergic to caress or something and get rid of it for you, because this sucks.

When I started going through Menopause, I began having itching, especially behind my knees and mostly when I would get warm, my sking breaks out in bumps, and itches like fury! I have also had it on my inside of my elbow area, my wrists, inside my calves, and thighs, and even my butt. Sometimes it looks like I've been bitten by bugs, so many bumps break out. My doctor did give me a prescription for a cream, which helps temporarily, but not for long. My elbows have been so bad a coupel of times, I had scabs from scratching. I truly feel it is a hormonal thing.

Me too.... Three years ago I had hives a month after getting into a new lifestyle eating no meat and mostly organic vegan diet... I had hives for two months when finally went away. Now I was visiting family and I eat lots of stuff again what i did not eat for years and exactly a month after I got back to my vegan lifestyle I got itchy hives again... but this time they are different. Most people don't even see them, I just itch on my arms and legs, bothers me at night... It's horrible. I don't want to deal with this again for months! I think I have no choice. I'm trying all different kind of cleansers which helped last time but not this time. I just don't know why I have this reaction when I get into a healthier lifestyle..
