After going thru 6mo of tests & CS's & all kinds of Dr's, I was sent to a lung spec. He sent me for a CS & sd a lymph node was swollen. I was on strong antibiotics for a bacterial infec at the time. He told me he wanted to have another CS done in a couple of months to see if it went down. Well I went 9/14 & was told my appt to see him was 10/5. That's 3wks so I called & sd I shouldn't have to wait that long to find out results, they sd would call me if cancelllation. Of course they don't know I picked up a copy of test myself & the node didn't go down. I called again yesterday & was told he's going on vacation, I sd this is not right I don't even know if it's cancer! I think this stinks!

Hi,
First of all, you should relax. Oct. 5th is next week...not a long time away.
More than likely you don't have cancer, as you apparently were fighting a bad infection. Did they indicate it could be cancer? Do you have reason to believe it might be cancer?
I know waiting is hard. It's all I do these days. Wait for tests, wait for results, wait for chemo, wait to feel better, wait, wait, wait. Since I've been fighting this disease for the past 10 months I've learned to be patient, I've learned that worrying about things doesn't change them, and getting all worked up about stuff only hurts me.
I hope you can relax for the next week and enjoy your health. Cherish it. Work to make it even better. Thank God for it. It really is a precious gift we all take for granted.
I pray for only the very best results of your tests.

Thanks, I am upset that it has been over 2wks & he was concerned about a lymph node in lung swollen. I pray you will feel better & be healed.

Hi Gram,
Sometimes those infections can be very hard on the body, and take a long time to get over. Give your body all the good food it needs to heal. Do whatever you can to boost your immune system.
I had a nodule they watched for 7 months before it was discovered to be cancer. Waiting is the pits!
And please let us know how you make out next week. Especially if it's good news!!! We LOVE good news here. :)
