Please can anyone tell me anything about gastritis, I had a endoseopy a year ago and the dr. said that I had gastritis, about four year ago I was having acid reflux bad, and went to a gastroenterology for it and he put me on nexium for it and it did help what I was eat stop coming up in my throat.
but about six months of be on the nexium I starter to have the worse pain in my left and right side and the pain will radiates to my back and sometime the pain will start in my back and radiates to my side and stomach, it feel like gas bad gas pain that more around in me , so the dr wanted me to do the endoseopy to see what it was and he said that I had gastritis I was think that the dr would gave me something for it and all he said was take more of the nexiun take two a day, NO WAY was I going to take two a day when it was what had gave me the gastritis I think and I can not get well of it, it hurt me just about ever day of my life, I know all a dr will give you for gasttitis is a ppi , and I have the worse side effects from them.
so do anyone know of anything that will help gastritis beside ppi?

My son takes two 40 mg a day. It is the one thing that has helped him. Twice we have tried to go to one a day and he got very very sick....throwing up blood. My GI and reg doc both say we will leave him on twice a day until he can go for a couple of months without getting sick.
He is to have a HIDA scan on his gallbladder to see how it functions. Maybe you need to check on this,also.
