I think my doctor has just decided Fibromyalgia is what I have he did a bunch of blood tests and found nothing unusual. His great advice was to try Tai Chi and get a book on stretching. I told him how this has made my running and ballet activities difficult excercise hasn't been the problem. Whats wrong with me is I have sore muscles all over (feels like I lifted weights yesterday soreness) the pain that I feel id difficult to discrib it's like after I have been still sitting or lieing and than I stretch or stand up I have pain. I am also swelling in my legs and arms. It's not noticable except to me so it isn't ballooning swelling. My legs feel heavy and bending my knees feels tight. I poked about to try to find preasure points. I found 3 differnt point location charts on the web and they all where different! I don't think I have them though. I do have a matching sore spots on my rear but they feel more like bruses. None of this seems as severe as fibromyalgia. Can this still be it?

if you question your doc's dx, get a second opinion. fibro can come in many forms, and no you don't need the points to have a clinical diagnosis. go to the bookstore and read all the books you can, and compare that info with what you find on the web. fibro gets lumped together with myofascial pain syndrome, which is what your symptoms sound like to me. read about it, and if it still doesn't fit, find a second doctor to confer with.
