Hi. I have been in a pretty bad flare for about six weeks now and I have had a sore throat for most of it...only the past few days it has gone into being a sore throat and the back of my tongue is now so sore that I don't want to talk..have you ever had anything like this with a flare?? I havent' but the doc couldn't find any reason for the sore throat,,,it just looked irritated.

sore throat can be attributed to acid reflux, even if you're not aware you have it. this is very common in fibromites, as is post-nasal drip. do you have a stuffy nose that moves from side to side depending how you are laying? this is a drainage problem we get, and can contribute greatly to our sleep disturbances, as well as sore throats etc.

of course, it could just be a cold or something ordinary that we forget we are susceptible to. we get so used to our weird symptoms being part of fibro, we blame everything on it! i know i do! it's never just a cold.... http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/bouncing.gif
