I just noticed this the other day, but when I touch the side of my leg near my ankle, even the slightest touch, I get a weird tingling feeling, like slight "pins and needles" in a small area on the bottom of my foot between my heel and the ball of my foot, but to the outside of my arch... I'm guessing it's probably a nerve thing, but does anyone know why this would have started suddenly? It seems to be becoming more sensitive as the days go by, also.
Thanks!

Anyone?
Could this be a pinched nerve? Could it have been caused by wearing high heels, which I wore for the first time in a year? Will it get better by itself?
It's actually gotten worse since I posted this, and the slightest touch on my leg gives painful pins and needles in the bottom of my foot.

sorry you haven't had any replies to this yet,its probably due to the more obscure nature of the symptom.this would suggest some level of some sort of nerve affectation, but to try and pin it down to some specific reason would really be way too difficult to do here.the best way really would be to see your doc about it and have him or her do a neuro exam on the foot and leg. There could just be sooo many possible reasons for this.anything from some sort of inflammtion to a muscle/nerve problem.sorry i couldn't be of more help to you.good luck.please let me know what you find out. I think it could be some sort of nerve problem or maybe poor circulation... I have had numerous ankle problems and find that my feet fall asleep all the time... but not really by the touch like you are describing.. i would consult a doctor if it seems to get worst...
