Sponsor lorriem 09-28-2007, 03:32 PM my husband has had some hair loss from the coumadin. setonliz 09-29-2007, 09:51 PM I am shocked, is that true that coumadin has rat poison in it???????? I have researched it a lot and never saw anything like that. If it is true, I can now understand why I hate this medication so much. I have been told that I will have to take it for the rest of my life, and I worry about what the future could bring. I cannot stay therapeutic at all and I always feel horrible!!! What are some other side effects are others having?? forevermoody 10-01-2007, 01:11 AM Hi Pamela and Setonliz! Apparently warfarin was developed as a rat poison because in large doses it causes rats to bleed to death. That doesn't make it "poison" in the sense of being toxic. I have heard that a new med is being tested with good results (the name I cannot remember) and it has much less side effects and is more stable. |
