I would like to know what percent of rat poision is in warfarin? and the long trem effect on the inside of my body?

my husband has had some hair loss from the coumadin.

I am shocked, is that true that coumadin has rat poison in it???????? I have researched it a lot and never saw anything like that. If it is true, I can now understand why I hate this medication so much. I have been told that I will have to take it for the rest of my life, and I worry about what the future could bring. I cannot stay therapeutic at all and I always feel horrible!!!

What are some other side effects are others having??

Apparently warfarin was developed as a rat poison because in large doses it causes rats to bleed to death. That doesn't make it "poison" in the sense of being toxic.

Hubby has also had joint pain and if his inr is to high diarrhea . I have heard that a new med is being tested with good results (the name I cannot remember) and it has much less side effects and is more stable.
