I want to know what casue the gland to swell up when I get in cold air and when after I eat.I am all ways clearing my thoat of mucus.When I do hold my head to the right it brings the mucus up .But my thoat is in pain of all the hacking I am doing to bring it up .My question is what are some things I can do to get my thoat better?

I would be betting on your sinuses being irritated and allergies. Are you on any antihistamines? Allergy steriodal nasal sprays? Have you been to your MD? Ragweed and golden rod and many other common allergens are out in strength right now. Up here Ragweed has been over ten times the hazardous EPA recognized limit. With out rain every time you go out it will hammer you.

You may also have a mild food allergy... which will cause your lymph nodes to swell and fight back if you eat it and cold will irritate and dry you nasal passages resulting in an immune response as soon as you start draining excessively.

So I do not think it is cancer or some odd thing.. I really think that it may be seasonal allergies... which can develop at any time in ones life.
