I was wondering if I need to be concerned, A few months ago, I began having rather intense episodes of vertigo and dizziness, and also now I stumble when I walk. I can walk for a bit and then stumble to the right or left, like a jerking reaction. I am having episodes where I make some mild involuntary movements, like closing doors harder than I intended, or something like that, nothing major. I have alot of "twitching" as well, like sudden jerky movements, very slight, but they are all relatively new, have had fibro for 7 years, am 31. DX by rhuemy 2 yrs ago, jus wondering if I should be concerned or if I should chalk it up to yet another fibro thing?

I would definately be concerned...but it could turn out to be fibro related. But, you shouldn't just chalk new symptoms up to that...you may have some other problem! This could be a totally unrelated symtom.

I definitely agree! You should get checked out. I know I find myself just taking for granted that any new symptom I have is just FM, but we should all be careful if the symptoms can be that of any other serious illness. Better to be safe than sorry...I say.
Blessings,
Kathy

thank you both for your views. I was beginning to be concerned, and thought I might need to go to the Dr, but I just get tired of being brushed off as looking for excuses, to not work, to be lazy, to not try, and I am just out of strength to deal with those attitudes anymore. So thank you for the reinforcement, I needed that.

Hey corin,

Yea i agree, everything should be checked out by your doctor no matter how "trivial" we think they will think it is. I also had alot of tremors and shaking and it was starting to worry me. I discussed it with my doctor and she said "sometimes" it can be caused by a magnesium and zinc defiency. I thought it couldnt be that simple but decided to try it and after a few weeks on it, the tremors went away. I have also noticed that sometimes when i go a week or so without them (due to laziness and just plain tired of taking so MANY pills) the tremors will start back up. So in "my case" i do think it was due to magnesium and zinc defiency.
Jen
