Hi, my daughter has this with anemia. They did further testing to see if she had thalasemia and the other specific anemias and it came back negative. She has been this way since birth. I am going to take her to a pediatric hematologist. I did a web search and poikilocytosis can be caused from poor absorbtion from the gut. She did have leaky gut syndrome before. Does anyone have any experience or info on this?
