Hi all. I read these boards alot always trying to find some kind of news or ideas on fibro. My mom has been in so much pain and I feel so bad for her and just wish there was something I could do. She was dx with fibro about 10 years ago and it just slowly gets more and more painful everyday. She has tried most meds. on the market as far as antiinflamatory drugs along with several others.
Her main pain is in her rib cage right now. She says it feels like its going to blow up. She can never laugh anymore because she gets really bad muscle spasms. She also has bad burning in her hips and says her feet always feel like they are on fire.
Like most others, every doctor she has went to says its in her head and tries to put her on antidepressants.
NOW, you have to know my mom like I do. She has always been a strong women who was never sick a day in her life until this hit. Its slowly disabling her to do everyday things like wash hair, etc.
I told her about this website and that I would put a post up. She still doesn't think she has Fibro, but rather a bacteria in her body that can't be detected. Her bones hurt all the time, has constant muscle spasms, and alot of burning. Do any of you get muscle spasms with Fibro? Could this sound like something else? Every doctor she has went to says its Fibro so I don't know. Is there something else she can do to relieve the pain? I know your supposed to exercise, but how can you exercise when your in so much pain? I feel so bad for everyone with this syndrome and I wish they would find a cure. Any replies would be so much appreciated! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
