Just wondering how it all went and if he thought a referral was in order for your neck?

Hi Duttin. Woke up that morning with 102 temp, and kept the appointment. I was more upset that I was sick then asking questions. He did say he doesnt think that the disc is BAD enough to be causing me the tingling in my hand, but cant be sure..he did give me the name of two neuro-surgeons, both of which Ive called, and neither of which accept my insuarnce, both have 4+ month waiting lists and charge more for a consult then Im willing to pay right now...
Ive got SOOO much going on right now with work and did manage to see my PCP today who gave me a script for anti-biotics, but doesnt think theyll help, he thinks its viral....but what the heck, they cant hurt, right? I started the Zpack this afternoon.

I havent had time to absorb all this or think about what to do beyond seeing a participating NS, and getting an opinion. Right now, all I can do is think about getting thru October....and my boss told me today he is having surgery (similar type) on Nov. 5th and expects to be out 3-4 weeks. I have no life. And I have no time to think right now.

I feel awful and am fighting to keep this as "just a cold" or "flu" and not let it get me into relapse mode.....I have an eye doctor appt on Monday because my eye has been twitching non stop and its driving me nuts, but the MS doc didnt see any ON from just looking into my eye....we'll see, hes been wrong before since he doesnt have the right "eye" equiptment! Im planning on sleeping thru the rest of the weekend and trying to kick this thing before it gets worse.
Sorry havent been posting, just have been feeling awful....I hope that your life is returning to norm??

I am sooo sorry you're sick! I will keep you in my prayers for a speedy recovery! I wish you could have gotten more answers today...I know how you feel. I wasn't able to get answers either.

Please get plenty of rest this weekend and drink lots of fluids.

I can understand,hopefully you can keep this cold a bay.

Sleep all weekend if needed,let them waut on you.

You've been under alot of stress with the up and coming trip and now with your boss going to be out.With him gone maybe you'll get some peace of mind at work even if the work load is a little more.

As far as the neck please get another opinion even if the DR is in your plan.

I'm trying to move forward after last weekends episode,it hasn't been easy.Symptoms have progressed and see neuro this week.Its a week full appointments.Stomache DR on monday,Eye Dr one day and neuro on thursday.plus chiro 3 days,my back is messed up.

Theres been alot of viral upper respitory going on around here.been trying to advoid sick people.

Me thinks it is time for a group hug for MSNik! You dish out counsel here, and yet in your own day to day travels there are peaks and plateaus...thank you soo very much for your input, encouragement and great spirit all the time. Folks like you are an :angel:

Even with the complications of getting in to see someone, I know you have heard it all before...you are not alone, and we will pray for the right opening, and right Specialist - prayer changes things (as well as all of us...)!!
