I have not yet been diagnosed with ms, dont even know if i have all of the typical symptoms, my symptoms are severe muscle spasms in neck, burning pain in upper back and arms facial muscles feel weak when smile or eat, feels like there is a lump in my throat all the time, my hands and arms go numb, right hand gets cold and feels weak to type or write or things like chopping vegetables if this doesnt sound like ms does anyone have any other idea, i have an appoint. with neuro (the 2nd one) in dec. but i dont know if i can wait that long .

After my MS turned into PPMS, my facial muscles did have problems. My doctor told me she could tell I was having problems as soon as she saw me. LOL, I never thought I was that Ugly:).....When my hands go numb, I usually run cold water over them to "wake them up". I have also had problems with my neck and throat from time to time. December is a long way off, if you are having problems now, there are many doctors in Virginia. Check with your local MS Society or Association for a referral.
