I've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and IBS and have become convinced these problems are due to my having leaky gut syndrome. Has anyone had success in treating this, and do you have suggestions on whom I should see? (I'm willing to travel.) The name, Dr. Leo Galland, keeps popping up in my research. Anyone familiar with him? Thanks for your help.

I do not have any info but I would think if his name keeps popping up, he would have to be great. I'm sure it will all work out fine. God bless!

OMG you have the same Dx’s as my mother and she has died. We she was dx’ed with thyroid, type 2 diabetes, Then the last thing to come was cancer. I have been falling in the same identical path. I don’t know yet if its Genetics or all the crap in our environment. But all this good info is coming into my life, I have been reading LOTS of books and I’m starting to see what really happened to my mother. I feel like my mother is giving me this info, because she doesn’t want it to happen to me, or anyone elts.
Number one, my mom was in and out of the hospital for 20 years. And the meds they gave her, helped with pain, but never really did much. A clear sign the doctors didn’t care. I also feel like I am just being given medication to cover up symptoms but not actually change my body.

First many people who have Celiac are miss dx’s with Fibro. Celiac is a Genetic disorder. Something wrong with chromosome 6. So eat lots of bread, pasta, and lots of Gluten. Then go to the doctor and have a Celiac test done.
If it is positive then it is very likely you don’t have fibro, but all these above symptoms are actually Celiac. (also remember Celiac and Fibro also cause IBS)

If it is environmental, IBS, you body can’t take anymore toxins, Candia, or parasites (micro organisms). I just replied to a post on Candida here on the board. So you can do a Candia cleanse. Because nearly everyone has Candia. To test for it. in the morning poor a clear glass of water (mineral or spring) spit in the cup, and let it sit for 1 hour. If the spit floats on the top it is healthy, if it drops down, and is stringy, that is Candia. If you have Candia, doctors will do nothing for you. Because we spend millions of dollars on treating Candia symptoms like athletes foot, or Yeast infection, And IBS. If we were to actually kill Candia, they would lose alot of money. But they don’t seem to really care that Candia can KILL YOU. Its all about money.

Serious symptoms to watch for that mean you need to DETOX (if its enviornmental) and change your diet to a gluten free diet, are. Fever, but not sick. (food toxins, Candia, parasites, microorganisms get into the blood and can get to any part of your body) if you have Celiac, you are not eating a poor diet, but you have all the same things as someone with a poor diet. searious symptoms to watch for are: (brain fog, poor digestion, overweight/underweight. Low energy. Chronic disease, Muscle pain, RLS sour neck. This is because the cilia is damaged and you are absorbing next to nothing, you might as well be living in a 3rd world country eating nothing but grain, that is about the = amount of vitamins and minerals your body is getting. If you do the test and you do not have Celiac, I still say lower your gluten levels. because that can help Fibro. then you can when you are better, start eating gluten again, slowly, but never eat to much. And if you feel better not eating it, then continue. So many people have a gluten intolerance. People with Celiac can never EVER have it again. (like myself :(

All the Dx’s you mentions are just like mine and my mothers. My mothers main DX was Fibro. My main DX for it was Celiac. We both have the same thing, yet we both have different DX’s. I have read on the Celiac board,(on another message board because we don’t have one here) may people talk about the Miss diagnoses they have before finding out they had celiac. Fibro was a big one. Once they stopped gluten, Fibro got better, the Lactose intolerance got better... ect ect ect. Many people on the Celiac board talk about symptoms like Chronic fatigue, RLS, IBS, insomnia, ADD, allergies. These boards we have here on health boards. But that are actually only symptoms of the diagnosis, celiac. So I think it is very strange that we do not have a celiac board here, but many boards of symptoms of Celiac.

If you have many chronic disease like, Like cancer, autoimmune, Fibro, bad asthma and allergies, diabetes. Liver problems. You have to do both cleans, detoxing, and diet change, one will not work without the other, and you need to start by getting book on the subject, you can spend alot of money on doctors, but I would rather spend alot of time studying on your own. because you know your body best, and for doctors, your 15 min visit is 40 bucks in their pocket. You talk, they listen, and leave you with nothing, or very little understanding. When you can spend $40 and get some good books.
All the doctors in the world didn’t work for my mother. For 20 years she cried out. And she never got better, only treated symptoms and took lots of medication. I remember asking the doctor when I was with my mother and she was Dx’s with Cancer. “do you think this was causes by the huge amount of medication you have been on for years and years?” he didn’t answer me, he only changes the subjects. So I do not recommend any specialist for this syndrome. However I do recommend books, “more natural Cures” by Kevin Turdeau or any book by him. Or any book by Brenda Watson, Naturopathic doctor, and colon Therapist.
Because I have the same symptoms as my mother, I have muscle ach, body ach, but I am not in the PAIN as my mother was yet... and hopefully will not ever. I really believe these are the paths my mother is putting me on. Learning how to self test. Understanding symptoms... understanding medications..
Also know I am not telling you to stop taking any medications you are on now. Just know, medications are chemicals, strong and damage the body, especially if you are already full of chemicals and toxins. The livers job is to rid the body of toxins and chemicals, but when there is just too much for the liver to deal with. The liver will store toxins in fat cells, and “come back to it later” only it never comes back, it just becomes more overwhelemed and sluggish. Storing more and more toxins in the body, and not eliminating in a Bowl movement
Understanding this and understanding how the body is fighting toxins in the air, water, veggies, meat, milks, everywhere, learning how to Make your body stronger, only allows for better overall health
