Can anyone PLEASE offer some advice. Here is the story...
My sister had fake nails. She decided to take them off by soaking her hands in nail polish remover for 3 hours. She woke up this morning because her hands were so painful. The nails are fine, but the skin down to the second knuckles is swollen and pruned. It looks like she just got out of a long bath, but it hurts and she can't bend her fingers. She is now applying cream to try and hydrate her hands. She also put on an antibioatic ointiment last night. I can't find anything similar to this online. :dizzy:
My sister doesn't have insurance. She doesn't want to go the ER because she can't pay the bill, but I am worried about her. I looked up chemical burns, but they are all red. Her hands are white. Has anyone heard of this? Should I try harder to the her to a doctor? I don't think she will be able to work the way she is. Any advice would be much appriciated.
