could anyone tell me anything about gastritis , is it something that make you have gas pain in your chest, back, side left and right, and stomach ?
My dr told me that I had gastritis, over a year ago and I still have it.
I do not know what to do for it, any advice thank you.

Gastritis can cause mild to severe pain, it is normally felt on the left side and center, but can also defer to the right. The somtach is J shaped and sort of goes all over the place - expecially when we eat and it expands. Has your doc confirmed that you still have it? If so, have you had an endoscopy? If so, it is called chronic gastritis or it can also just have been acute (one time ) gastritis that returned.
Most everyone will develop gastritis at one time in their lives. It can be caused by viruses, foods, stomach acids and stress.
It is not life threating, but needs to be controled to prevent damage to the lining of the tummy. Take two OTC Zantac daily and switch to a bland diet - like baked potatoes with only salt or plain, toast with no butter, turkey sandwiches plain, baked fries, rice, bananas etc. Water is best.
Make sure to get plenty of rest, try not to stress and call your doctor. If you don't have the money to go to the doctor, there are many places that will work with you and give you a reduced rate based on income or offer their services free. Call your local hospital and ask who you would need to speak with to find out about these types of facilities.
God bless!
